Award-Winning Local SEO Agency
Local SEO gets your business in front of customers who are actively searching for what you offer in your area. When someone searches "plumber near me" or "best dentist Brisbane," they are not browsing. They are ready to act.
We manage local SEO campaigns across Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, and the Sunshine Coast. Each campaign is built around the search behaviour, competition, and opportunities unique to that market. Whether you are a tradie, a clinic, a cafe, or a professional service, our local SEO framework is designed to put you in front of the customers who are already looking for you.
Local search is also changing fast. Google’s May 2026 core update shifted visibility away from directory and aggregator sites toward real local businesses. We tracked one Australian directory site where 75.5% of “near me” terms declined in the first 48 hours.
Google is connecting searchers directly to businesses through Maps, Business Profiles, and AI Overviews. The middleman is being removed. For local businesses, that is a significant opportunity.

Our Approach To Local SEO
Keyword Research, Mapping & Discovery
We find out exactly what your customers are searching for in your area, and make sure your site shows up when they do.
On‑Page Optimisation
We fine-tune your website’s structure, metadata, schema markup, and content to make it easy for search engines (and your customers) to understand what you do and where you’re based.
Localised Content Creation
We create service area pages, locally relevant blog posts, and community-focused content that speaks directly to your audience. This builds topical relevance in your area and gives Google the signals it needs to rank you for local queries. Our content marketing approach ensures every piece serves both search visibility and real customer value.
Citation & Directory Management
Citations are mentions of your business name, address, and phone number across the web. Consistent citations across reputable Australian directories like Yellow Pages, True Local, and industry-specific platforms help Google verify your business legitimacy and location.
Authority Building Through Local Links
We earn backlinks from relevant local sources: business associations, community organisations, local publications, and industry directories. These local trust signals tell Google your business is established and credible in your area. Our link building approach focuses on quality and relevance, not volume.
Schema Markup Implementation
We add structured data to your site that helps search engines better understand your content and improves how it displays in search.
Mobile Optimisation for Local Search
Your site needs to load fast, display properly on every screen size, and make it easy to call, get directions, or book. We ensure your site meets Google’s Core Web Vitals benchmarks and provides a seamless mobile experience. Read our technical SEO checklist for the full technical framework.
Review Management Strategy
We help you earn more high-quality reviews, and respond in a way that strengthens trust with both Google and potential customers.
Transparent Reporting
No jargon. No fluff. Just clear, ongoing reports showing how your local visibility is improving, and where we’re heading next.
Our Process
Get Found Where It Counts
Your Google Business Profile Is Now Your Shopfront
The May 2026 core update made this official. Directory sites that used to sit between you and your customers are losing ground. Google is connecting searchers directly to businesses through Maps, Business Profiles, and AI Overviews.
Your GBP is the first thing locals see and it is where they decide who to contact. Accurate details, compelling content, updated hours, service lists, reviews, and regular posts are the difference between showing up in the top 3 or not appearing at all.
For businesses that rely on foot traffic, calls, or local bookings, this is the most important asset you have. Read our analysis of how the core update is reshaping local search.
Geo‑Modified Keywords That Convert
Localised Content That Builds Relevance
Generic content does not win local searches. Relevant, location-specific content does.
We craft service area pages and blog content that speak directly to your audience, using the language they search with and the context Google needs to rank you. This is not about stuffing suburb names into generic copy. It is about creating genuinely useful content for people in your area.
How it works
Local SEO is a tailored, measurable strategy designed to put your business in front of the right people, in the right place, at the right time
We start by getting a clear picture of where you stand in local search. This includes a full website audit, a Google Business Profile review, a local competitor analysis, citation consistency check, and a deep dive into the keywords your customers use in your area. We also assess your visibility in AI Overviews for local queries, which is becoming a significant factor in 2026. You get a prioritised roadmap showing exactly where to focus first.
We outline measurable targets and a campaign roadmap. You will know what we are doing, why, and when. This includes which pages to optimise first, what content to create, which citations to build, and how to structure your GBP updates. Every recommendation is specific to your market, your competition, and your service areas.
We execute across every layer simultaneously: on-page optimisation with local schema and NAP consistency, GBP management with regular posts and photo updates, citation building across Australian directories, location-specific content creation, review strategy setup, and local link building. You get regular check-ins and real-time access to key metrics and ranking data throughout.
Local search evolves constantly. New competitors appear. Google updates its algorithms. Seasonal patterns shift demand. We track performance, identify what is working, and continuously refine strategy. Monthly reporting shows you exactly how your local visibility is improving, where new opportunities are emerging, and what adjustments we are making to keep you ahead.

What is Local SEO, and how is it different from regular SEO?
Local SEO (search engine optimisation) is the process of optimising your online presence to attract customers in a specific geographic area. It focuses on improving visibility in local search results, particularly in Google’s Map Pack and location-based searches.
Unlike traditional SEO, which targets broad or national audiences, Local SEO focuses on local traffic and intent, meaning people actively looking for businesses “near me” or in a specific city or suburb. It includes strategies like:
- Optimising your Google My Business Listing
- Using geo-targeted keywords
- Building local citations
- Managing local reviews and ratings
- Google Business Posts to udate users on local events, updates and business information
Why is Local SEO essential for my brick-and-mortar business?
If you rely on customers walking through your door, calling for service, or booking an appointment, Local SEO is essential. When someone searches for a business like yours in their area you want to appear in those top results.
With Local SEO:
- You show up on Google Maps and in the local pack
- Customers can easily find your location, hours, services, and contact info
- You build trust through consistent reviews and updated information
- You drive more store visits, calls, and bookings from local customers
How does Local SEO work?
Local SEO is powered by a different algorithm to regular organic search. Google considers three key factors:
- Relevance: How well your business matches the search query
- Distance: How close you are to the searcher’s location
- Prominence: How established and trusted your business appears online
What are the top Local SEO ranking factors?
Here’s what Google (and customers) care about most:
- Google Business Profile: Complete, accurate, and optimised with services, categories, and updates
- NAP Consistency: Matching Name, Address, Phone number across all directories
- Local Keywords: Location-based keywords on your website and GMB profile
- Customer Reviews: Quantity, quality, and keywords used in reviews
- Backlinks: Links from local directories, associations, or industry websites
- Engagement Signals: Clicks, calls, directions, and website visits
- Schema Markup: Structured data to help search engines understand your business
What are citations, and why are they important?
Citations are mentions of your business across the web, typically in directories like Yellow Pages and others. Each citation includes your business name, address, and phone number (NAP).
Consistent citations:
- Help Google verify your business legitimacy and location
- Improve your local rankings
- Build trust with customers who see your business listed in multiple places
We manage, clean up, and expand your citations as part of your local SEO strategy.
How do I get my business on Google Maps?
To appear on Google Maps, your business must have a verified Google Business Profile. If you don’t have one, we’ll set it up for you. If you do, we’ll optimise it with accurate information, relevant categories, services, opening hours, images, and updates.
Can I have a Google Business Profile if I don’t have a shopfront?
Yes, as long as you serve customers in person, you’re eligible. Service-area businesses like mobile dog groomers, electricians, and plumbers can have a Google Business Profile. Instead of listing a physical address, you simply specify the areas or suburbs you service.
Eligible businesses include:
- Service-area businesses (e.g. trades, mobile services)
- Hybrid businesses (those with both a shopfront and on-location service)
- Home-based businesses that meet with customers face to face
That said, not every business qualifies. Ineligible business types include:
- Virtual offices or PO boxes with no in-person contact
- Online-only businesses with no local presence
- Lead generation companies or affiliate models
- Rental or for-sale property listings (e.g. holiday homes, land for sale)
- Temporary pop-ups not operating under your business name
How long until I see results?
Most businesses start seeing measurable improvements within 3 to 6 months, depending on your competition, location, and starting point. If your Google Business Profile is new or your website hasn’t been optimised before, it may take a bit longer to build authority. However, if you already have some visibility, progress can come faster with the right strategy in place.
What is the difference between local SEO and Google Ads?
While both marketing strategies can target local customers, local SEO is an organic strategy focused on improving your visibility in local search results, without paying for each click. It’s long-term, sustainable, and builds trust over time. Google Ads, on the other hand, is a paid strategy. You bid on keywords to appear at the top of search results instantly. You’re charged each time someone clicks your ad.
