URL Rating (UR)

What is URL Rating (UR)?

URL Rating, or UR, is a metric used by various SEO tools to measure the strength of a specific webpage’s backlink profile. It’s a score (usually between 0 to 100) that reflects how well a particular page is likely to rank in search engine results based on the quality and quantity of its backlinks.

The higher the UR, the more authoritative and trustworthy that webpage is considered by search engines.

But why does this matter? Backlinks are an essential part of SEO. When other sites link to a specific page on your site, it tells search engines like Google that the page is valuable or useful. UR takes this into account and helps you understand how powerful a page’s link profile is.

How is UR Calculated?

UR is calculated by assessing several factors, including the number of internal and external backlinks, the authority of the websites linking to the page, and how many unique domains are linking to it. It’s important to note that UR focuses on a specific page’s link profile, not the entire domain (that’s Domain Rating or DR).
